The monthly
and quarterly newsletter of Legio VI Victrix
This is the archive page for our electronic newsletter, Ad Signa! The newsletter comes in two
forms: A Monthly Edition, which is a quick rundown on pending events and
important updates, and a Quarterly Edition, which is fleshed out with images and
articles on a variety of subjects.
To receive Ad Signa! "hot off the presses" by email, just drop us
a note and we'll add you to our distribution list. Currently, distribution is
exclusively via email. We hope to have a "hard copy" edition to be delivered via
regular mail whenever our editor, T. Flavius Crispus (Dave Michaels), gets
around to it (don't hold your breath!).
Ad Signa means "To the Standards." This was originally a rallying cry
used to form or reform cohorts and centuries within a legion for inspection or
during combat. It also embodies in very concise language the mission of our
group: Portraying Roman soldiers and frontier inhabitants to the highest
standards we can achieve.
