KALENDS

Our Calendar of Events for AUC 2763 (AD 2010)

MAJOR EVENTS

March 19-21, 2010 – A.D. 43 The Claudian Invasion of Britain at Fort Lafe, AR. The annual Fort Lafe full-immersion Roman and Celtic reenactment event usually recreates the Roman invasion of Britain in AD 43. However, to mark the 2,000th anniversary of the loss of three Roman legions in Germani, this year’s edition will be set in 2009 and pit  the Roman legions of Quinctilius Verus  against the Germanic confederation of & nbsp;Arminius… of course there’s no guarantee things will turn out the same as in A.D. 9!

April 24-25, 2010 (Saturday-Sunday) – California Poppy Festiuval at Lancaster City Park, Lancaster, CA. This will be a full weekend encampment at a family-friendly event.

July 10-12, 2009 (Friday-Sunday) -- Old Fort MacArthur Days, the biggest multi-period military reenactment event in the western United States, held at the Fort MacArthur Artillery Museum, 3601 South Gaffey Street in San Pedro, CA. This is one of our big multi-day encampments each year. We will be going after another Esprit de Corps Award for best pre-gunpowder era encampment, which we won at the 2005 and 2007 OFMDs. For more details on this fantastic annual event, click HERE.

October 3-4, 2009 (Friday-Sunday) -- Marching Through History Expo at Prado Regional Park in Chino, CA. A timeline much like Old Fort MacArthur Days, this has been one of the main events on our calendar. At last year’s MTHE, Legio VI had a spectacular encampment and swept two of the top three awards for the entire multi-period event! He hope to repeat a nd improve upon our presentation this year and do even better.
